70cl/45% ABV UK There are countless brands that offer creative twists on the traditional gin formula: Hendricks, with cucumber and rose; Aviation, with lavender and sarsaparilla; The Botanist, with mint and chamomile. While all of these newer brands provide exciting variations on the typical gin flavour profile, their ability to deliver effectively in a wide range of cocktails is limited. Fords is the melding of both worlds, in that our high juniper content firmly establishes our credentials as a classic London dry, but has a unique blend of florals, spices, and citrus underneath it to give it a more current twist. Aroma: Juniper, coriander & angelica up front with developing layers of citrus, jasmine & hints of vanilla in the background. Bright & expressive on the nose. Flavour: Fresh, round citrus profiles on the opening with a light sweetness and blossoming bouquet of orris, cassia & grapefruit. Texture: Medium body, viscous & silky on the palate. Long, lingering mouthfeel. Intangibles: Impeccably balanced without anyone botanical dominating. Finishes dry with full-figured notes of grapefruit peel & long-lasting juniper impression.
